Tiny But Mighty! Meet Camille D. Quattrocchi

An energetic 8-year-old third grader who’s called Edinburgh home for the past four years. From sports fields to neighborhood fun, she’s showing us what it means to play with heart and live with joy!

Camille truly is an amazing athlete! She began sports at 4 years old and has continued to participate throughout her elementary years. The sports she has been involved in have helped her carry a strong spirit. She holds a black belt in Junior Krav Maga, a yellow belt in MMA, and became an all-star soccer player in her second season with 6 goals in a playoff game that helped her team win the championship!

That sounds like a well-rounded and lively girl to me! In the past three years, Camille has also participated in the Edinburgh Marlins swim team. She has qualified for Gwinnett County swim team in multiple races and is now ranked top five in the county for her age group! In telling her story, Camille described her two favorite memories in sports and with her teams.

Camille shares her favorite moments, “When I helped my soccer team win the championship, and when I finished the 2025 Marlins summer league, finishing first place in all my individual events!” Camille inspires those around her with her determination and ability to be the best person, friend, teammate, and athlete!

Camille fears nothing! She strives every day to continue building strength and power in whatever realm she is venturing into. As well as being a stellar athlete, Camille is also an excellent student. She finds that her homework is her calm time to focus and let her brain explore when she’s not in a field or a pool. As for her coaches, Camille does not play favorites! She says she has loved every coach she has had, and that they all inspired her.

Considering how much she does in her sports, it’s reasonable to ask if she has future goals within them. Camille described how she loves each one of them and could never think of giving up on any of them. I find it so admirable that even at a young eight years of age, she understands the importance of a team, working together, and having a strong work ethic. Those abilities will follow her forever.

Hearing Camille’s story and understanding the strength and power of youth sports has been such a joy! She even left us with a little inspiration in her own words, and that is to “Never give up!” Kids are resilient and can grow through everything they go through. For this young amazing athlete, I hope she keeps scoring goals, beating her race times in swim, and fighting every day! Keep Climbing, Camille!
