Meet Steve Wohrle: Britton Falls’ Fantasy Football Commissioner

Steve Wohrle
Steve Wohrle, commissioner of the IFL (Internet Football League), moved into Britton Falls in 2016 when he and his wife were looking to downsize. They loved the Chateau and were able to buy an eight-year-old, all-brick home on a pond. Previously, they had lived in Fishers since 1980. Their three daughters and five grandchildren all live within 20 minutes.
Steve attended Indiana University, where he obtained a degree in business/marketing. He later earned an MBA from Butler University. He retired from Verizon Wireless after 22 years. While at IU, Steve met his wife, Bev, during a musical production—she even taught him how to dance for the show.
Shortly after moving to Britton Falls, Steve was browsing the Britton Falls resident website and discovered Fantasy Football. He expressed interest, and Will Weaver contacted him and signed him up. Steve joined Fantasy Football that fall. Although he had been a Colts fan for many years and knew a lot about the team, he didn’t follow other teams closely. Fantasy Football has now broadened his interest to many players and teams. He has even won the IFL in the past.
Steve is also president of the chess club and plays pickleball, typically in the A division.

Reminder:
The Britton Falls PGA Fantasy Golf League begins January 8th. For information, contact Bob Doane or Terry Whitley.
