Casey the Shih Tzu: A Squeaky Toy Enthusiast and Bedtime Buddy

Meet Casey, the delightful 10-year-old Shih Tzu who has carved her special place in the hearts of the Blunt family. Lisa’s mother-in-law brought Casey, along with her sister Gracie, home in a box (they were only 2 lbs each!) Lisa’s sister-in-law felt left out and now has their sister Lucy and ever since, they have all become an inseparable part of the family.

Initially met with skepticism about having two dogs, Casey quickly won over the reluctant hearts of the Smiths. With her endearing antics and a penchant for high fives, Casey's charm knew no bounds. Interestingly, she even responds to the adorable nickname 'K-bear.'

One can't help but chuckle at Casey's daily routine, particularly her strategic maneuver to join Greg, who works from home. Sneaking upstairs, she finds solace in her bed next to his desk, demanding a royal escort down the slippery stairs when ready. The family's laughter echoes as Casey's whines signal her desire to explore the lower levels.

Described as the neighborhood's vigilant greeter, Casey takes her role seriously. Positioned by the front door, she barks enthusiastically at passing dogs, creating a lively atmosphere. A lover of short walks around the block, she also enjoys sitting atop the couch, surveying her kingdom through the window.

Spoiled might be an understatement for Casey. Following family members around the house, she relishes sleeping in the bed, occasionally voicing her disapproval if moved. Her donut bed during the day and the coveted "pup cup" from Starbucks on her birthday add to her pampered lifestyle.

Casey's love extends beyond the walls of her home. Regular trips to the family lake house provide her with the perfect opportunity to sunbathe in the grass. Casey's sweet disposition has not only won her a special place in the Blunt family's hearts but has also made her a cherished member of the neighborhood.
