Meet the New Owners of TRANZFORM Fitness!

Hey there Spring Lake!

How does the word exercise make you feel?  For many, it’s hard - a chore.  It’s intimidating.  We don’t have time for it.  We get the idea that a gym is the place men go to get sweaty and women go to get thin.  Well, I’m here to tell you how Tranzform Fitness in Grand Haven is ready to tranzform the way you look at fitness.

I’m the new owner of Tranzform, Lindsey Lieto.  My family and I have lived in and loved the community of Spring Lake for the past 10 years. We are a very athletic family - it rules our lives between kids' sports and watching the Wolverines!  I grew up in Ann Arbor and got a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Industrial & Operations Engineering at Michigan. I worked for 15 years as a Solution Architect, leaving the corporate world when my third child was born.

That’s when I started leading group fitness at Jazzercise Spring Lake, where I continue to teach 4-5 classes a week.  I added Tranzform into my routine when I joined their 8-week challenge that included nutrition guidance and 1:1 personal coaching, and motivation.  It made me realize my real passion has always been for health and wellness, so I got certified as a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach. And I am now blessed with the opportunity to bring that knowledge and passion to the community through Tranzform.

Now listen, I didn’t say “I love exercise”.  Because really, it IS hard. It can be intimidating. And I can always find a thousand other things I should or want to do instead.  But Tranzform is different.  Whether it’s a 35-minute bootcamp or a small group personal training session, the workouts fly by.  The High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) style workouts include 30-50 seconds of exercise followed by 10-20 seconds of rest – you can do anything for just 30 seconds when you know you get a break, right?  If you’re thinking “no”, then picture a coach who cheers you by name and helps you with form, brings you a heavier (or lighter) weight, shows you a modification as necessary, and pumps you up the entire time. It pushed me to work harder than I thought I was capable of, see huge strength gains, and feel healthier along the way.  There’s always energetic music and a fun sense of community, making exercise something to look forward to.

Tranzform became a special place for me because it’s so much more than a really good workout.  Every coach is knowledgeable and motivating.  They care about your overall well-being beyond the mats, offering nutrition guidance, health testing to provide numeric proof of non-scale victories, and inspirational reminders. There are opportunities to volunteer in the community with the trainers and other members.  And they bring specialists in to address overall wellness goals.

I have big dreams for this place, so check next month’s issue for more to come.  Now get there to try a FREE class.  Family on three - 1, 2, 3 FAMILY!
