Welcome to our 4th Year Anniversary issue!  It’s hard to believe how quickly time has flown. It feels like just yesterday I was launching this publication in the middle of a pandemic, filled with uncertainty, battling self-doubt, and constantly reminding myself, “It’s now or never, Lex!” Starting a new career and running a business during such a chaotic time was no small feat, but with persistence and purpose, we made it through, and here we are.

Fast forward four years, and I’m proud to share that our distribution has grown by 30%, with more resident engagement and stronger community support from local businesses than ever before. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone of you who’s played a part in this journey.

What began as just an idea, a vision to create a safe, vibrant platform where stories could be shared, voices heard, and community connections deepened, has become something truly special. It’s a testament to the dedication and passion of our contributors, business partners, and readers. This magazine simply wouldn’t exist without the generous support of local businesses who believe in the power of community, and the residents who bring it to life.

A special shoutout goes to Jennifer Brewster, one of our resident contributors, who has been with me from right out of the gate. A busy mom of three boys and a dedicated employee of the school district, Jennifer has her finger firmly on the pulse of this community, not to mention the memory of an elephant! Her thoughtful nominations and content contributions over the years have helped shape the heart of this publication.

As we celebrate this milestone, we look ahead with excitement and optimism. Here’s to many more years of storytelling, connection, and shared success.
