Supporters Brave the Rain to Raise Funds at 2024 London Town in Bloom Gala

Anne Arundel County community gathers to support Historic London Town and Gardens' mission of preservation and education, raising over $55,000 despite the weather

Gala attendees enjoy the Sip and Stroll stations inside our newly constructed Educational Pavilion. Rainy weather limited the stroll to one location.

Supporters throughout Anne Arundel County came to the 2024 London Town in Bloom gala event at Historic London Town and Gardens to support their mission – to inspire present and future generations to a deeper understanding of the past, the environment, and our shared humanity. Gala attendees enjoyed the pristine gardens, a gorgeous waterfront pavilion, a historic area featuring the historic William Brown House (c. 1760), and sweeping waterfront views while also raising money for a great cause – even with the rain.

“London Town in Bloom not only celebrates the beauty of the grounds but also raises funds to support the significant preservation work that we do here at London Town,” said Mickey Love, Executive Director of Historic London Town and Gardens. “It’s through the support of our donors that we can maintain the historic grounds and buildings while also providing programming that inspires a deeper understanding of the past.”

Each year, Historic London Town and Gardens provides educational public programming such as school tours to over 3,000 school students, exhibits, lectures, and fun-filled family events to thousands of residents and visitors.

Many county businesses, organizations, and individual supporters supported this year’s benefit, including our sponsors Teena Grodner & Steve Horvath, Betsy Kirkpatrick-Howat, Rick Knop, Kelli Kreter, J.J. Bernard Lerch, Laura and Frank Martien, Pamela Obee Sargent, TDS Brochure Distributor, Eye on Annapolis, Jackalope Photography, and Mixing Maryland.

London Town in Bloom is an opportunity to raise much-needed funds to provide history and nature programs to thousands of visitors who come to Historic London Town and Gardens each year. Through a live and silent auction, raise the paddle and sponsorships, the event raised over $55,000 for Historic London Town and Gardens. If you missed the event, you have the opportunity to visit Historic London Town and Gardens Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
