Sophia is living the life of luxury with her pet parent, Mike Di Girolamo. She’s got her human wrapped around her paw and living the good life. 

This four-legged friend is the definition of well-loved. From daily walks to a carefully curated, healthy diet (with a soft spot for extra chicken, turkey, and lamb), she’s treated like the queen she clearly believes she is. She’s also quite popular.

“Sophia is very outgoing,” smiles Mike. “Everyone in the neighborhood knows her.” 

She’s 13 years old and came all the way from a breeder in Kansas with her sister, Donatella. Interestingly, Donatella belongs to Mike’s sister. That means that Sophia gets her fair share of playdates, sleepovers, and extended visits. And Sophia’s tail is wagging about that. 

“Sophia is also quite the hostess,” adds Mike. He hosts events in his home, and she likes to meet and greet everyone, making sure that they feel comfortable. 

A very well-behaved poodle, Sophia knows how to mind her manners. She even faithfully executes duck duty. When ducks take up residence in Mike’s pool, she knows that it is her job to chase the ducks away. After all, pools are for people, not webbed friends. 

If Sophia could talk, she would agree that Mike is a “fair and doting owner.” She gets lots of walks, plenty of TLC, and plenty of healthy treats. There’s only one catch. “She does have to behave,” says Mike. And Sophia has no problem with that.
