Art4Skarts 2025
“It was a beautiful night at an historic venue featuring amazing talent in our community. We need more of this.”
These are some of the compliments received at the Opening Reception at Art4Skarts on September 25th. Mingling with many new artists as well as veterans of this event, we showcased 114 artworks by 47 artists. Featured this year was unique hand cut paper collage art by Candy Lucas.
Hartlot Happening, a relatively new event space, continued to amaze attendees. Located on Jordan Road just 10 minutes from the center of Skaneateles, this 19th century commercial beanery has been transformed by partners Keith Traub and Lora Taub.
The event was attended by the artists as well as many art enthusiasts in the community. Attendees had the opportunity to meet the artists and to select from painting, glass, fiber, ceramics, jewelry and photography for
purchase. The support of all in attendance along with many generous donations, has helped Skarts to continue our Grants Program.
When you purchase artwork at Art4skarts, you are contributing to an individual artist as well as to the Skarts Grants Program, which supports many varied artistic events in our region.
All of the current Grant Program 2025 information may be found on our website: art4skarts.org, with applications beginning March 15th 2026. Past grantees are also featured on our website with interesting stories of their place in the arts as well as their many varied programs.
At Skarts, we work to bring art - and its creators - to the forefront, to enrich our community, and to help us all see a more beautiful view of life.
