Victory In Motion: Home of Knee Repair, NOT Knee Replacement®

The Family Behind the Vision
Marc and his wife Cristina have lived in Skaneateles for 27 years, raising their three children—Alexandra, Marc Jr., and Isabella—here. Their family story is one rooted in faith, family, hard work, and community. They’ve always believed that the best way to give back is to invest in people, whether that means mentoring a staff member; supporting local athletics, theatrical and musical productions; organizations such as the community center and library or helping a neighbor return to an active, pain-free life.

When you walk into Victory In Motion in Skaneateles, you don’t feel like you’re entering a typical medical office. Instead, you’re greeted by a team that feels more like family—welcoming, encouraging, and focused on one thing: helping people live the lives they want, without being held back by pain or unnecessary surgery.

Victory In Motion is the home of the nationally recognized, trademarked system Knee Repair, NOT Knee Replacement®. Founded by Dr. Marc Pietropaoli, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who has lived and practiced in the Skaneateles area for almost three decades, the clinic is driven by a bold mission: to eliminate the need for knee replacement surgery by the year 2043.

The Victory In Motion “family” extends well beyond the Pietropaolis. The clinic team—affectionately called Victors—brings expertise, empathy and compassion to every interaction, guiding patients through individualized care programs that combine regenerative medicine, total body fitness, genetic based nutrition, and whole-body wellness.

Why Victory In Motion Exists
Dr. Pietropaoli’s journey toward creating Knee Repair, NOT Knee Replacement® began with a simple but powerful question: “Why can’t we repair knees instead of replacing them with metal and plastic?” That question, asked during his medical training in Syracuse in the early 1990s, eventually grew into a career-long mission.

Over the years, he became one of the earliest U.S. physicians to incorporate biologic treatments like bone marrow aspirate cells and PRP (platelet-rich plasma) into orthopedic care. By blending these advanced biologics with precision diagnostics, total-body fitness, and holistic recovery, Dr. Pietropaoli created a system that has helped thousands of people avoid unnecessary surgery.

What Makes Victory Different
Most people who come to Victory In Motion have been told they “need” a knee replacement—or they fear they’re heading in that direction. What they discover here is an entirely different philosophy. Instead of focusing on replacing damaged joints, the team digs deeper to find the root causes of pain and dysfunction.

A typical journey begins with a Clarity Day™—a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation that uncovers what’s really going on, all in one day, not months like a typical medical system work up which typically takes months or even years. From there, patients receive a personalized program that might include regenerative medicine procedures, supervised fitness through the V-Fit total body program, genetic-based nutrition, and even cutting-edge tools like laser therapy.

The result? People who thought their only option was surgery are walking up the stairs pain free, sleeping without pain, walking their dog again, traveling, golfing, playing pickleball, hiking, and playing with their grandchildren again—without the risks and limitations of artificial joints. Dr. Pietropaoli says “The principles of regenerative medicine used in our trademarked Knee Repair, NOT Knee Replacement, TM programs work on any areas of the body…shoulders, ankles, hips, elbows, etc.”

A Local Mission With Global Reach
Victory In Motion may be based in Skaneateles, but its mission is global. They have patients from all over the United States, Canada and the world fly in to be treated with these world class regenerative medicine programs. “We literally have people from every continent, except Antarctica, contacting us every week about our programs” Dr. Pietropaoli said. He and his team are also actively training other providers in the “Victory Method” to expand access to these alternatives. The vision is nothing short of revolutionary: by the year 2043, to make knee replacement surgery obsolete.

And yet, the heart of the practice remains local. The Pietropaolis love living in Skaneateles—its lake, its vibrant village, and most of all, its people. Victory In Motion reflects that same spirit: a community where everyone is welcome, supported, and encouraged to live life without limits.

Gratitude and Invitation
Asked what he’s most grateful for, Dr. Pietropaoli doesn’t hesitate: “My family, my faith, my team, and the Victory In Motion members who put their trust in us.”

For those who want to learn more, the invitation is open: come meet the Victory In Motion family, experience a Clarity Day, and discover what’s possible when the focus is on repairing, not replacing.
