For the second consecutive year, ISA was voted #1 Best Private School and Pre School in Scottsdale!

The International School of Arizona (ISA) is getting ready to open its doors for the 2025/2026 academic school year to new and returning students. ISA, a private, nonprofit Independent School with a 25+year history in Arizona, has evolved and currently has over 375 students enrolled. ISA dual immersion school, offering French and Spanish language immersion programs that begin at 18 months and continue through 8th grade. ISA is proud of the many accomplishments and looks forward to welcoming students for the new school year!  

Recent Achievements
For the second consecutive year, ISA was voted #1 Best Private School and Pre School in Scottsdale, and its mascot, the Palomino, was also named Best Mascot—a testament to both educational quality and spirited community culture.

New Accreditations & Global Recognition
ISA achieved accreditation from the International Spanish Academy, officially recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education. This marks a significant enhancement to its Spanish immersion track, alongside ongoing affiliations with Cognia, the French Ministry of Education, and Instituto Cervantes.

Robotics State Recognition & Philanthropy
A highlight from the student body: ISA’s V5 Robotics Team—from grades 7 and 8—secured 7th place statewide in Arizona.

Palomino Parliament—ISA’s student government—raised $741 to support a French school impacted by Southern California wildfires, showcasing the school’s commitment to global citizenship.

Building on Success: What’s Ahead for 2025–2026
Steady Enrollment Growth:  ISA has grown from 14 students in 1998 to nearly 380 students in 2025, and plans to continue this growth trajectory by leveraging its award-winning digital presence.

Multilingual Curriculum Expansion:  ISA offers a robust immersion model starting at 18 months through Grade 8. By end of 3rd grade, students are proficient in English and either French or Spanish; by 4th grade, a third language is introduced, enabling trilingual fluency by 8th grade.

Enhanced Accreditations:  The new International Spanish Academy accreditation—formally celebrated in November 2024—further strengthens ISA’s dual-language credentials, reinforcing its reputation for bilingual excellence.

Emphasis on the “Portrait of a Graduate”:  ISA continues to cultivate its defining graduate traits—Curious Problem Solver, Compassionate Communicator, Inspirational Leader, Advocate, Balanced Achiever, and Global Citizen—through advisory programs, student-led initiatives, and community-building events.
