Lessons, Laughter, and Love: A Father’s Day Tribute

Students share what makes their dads so meaningful—from everyday moments to unforgettable experiences. A heartfelt tribute to the fathers who shape their lives.

“Dad: A son’s first hero, a daughter’s first love.”

Kennedy Rinehart is a 5th grader at Copper Ridge who loves her dad very much. She loves how he always helps her with her problems, whether it’s homework or just life in general. He also always makes her smile. On occasion, he tells her funny dad jokes and takes her out to dinner. They have created many memories together that will last a lifetime, especially during their summer trips to the family cabin, where they spend time together and have so much fun. Kennedy’s dad has also taught her important life lessons, like making new friends because they can stay with you forever, and always being open to learning new things. These teachings will always stick with her and benefit her in the long run. This Father’s Day, Kennedy would like to tell her dad that he is the best dad ever and that she loves him so much!

Ryan Hodge loves many things about his dad. He makes fun jokes, is always kind, and they share many of the same interests. They both love sports, and one special memory they share is going to a Diamondbacks game together recently. They enjoyed it so much that they still talk about it often. Ryan’s dad has taught him to always respect others and to remember that you are never the most important person in the room. He also reminds him to treat others the way he wants to be treated because you never know who is watching. These lessons will always stay with Ryan as he grows older. This Father’s Day, Ryan would like to tell his dad that he loves him very much!

Julia Hodge admires her dad for how amazing he is. She loves all the fun things they do together and the many memories they’ve created. One of her favorite memories is attending the U.S. Open Golf Tournament with him. She loved spending time together while watching a sport they both enjoy. One important lesson her dad has taught her is to always smile and be kind to others, as kindness often comes back to you. This Father’s Day, Julia wants her dad to know that she loves him to the moon and back and that he is the best dad ever!

Jamilla Alhasan is a 5th grader at Copper Ridge who loves how funny her dad is. He always makes her laugh, especially when they film TikTok dances together, creating lifelong memories. Another special memory they share is going cliff diving in Mexico, something they still talk about often. One important thing Jamilla’s dad taught her is how to ride a bike—an important skill she will never forget. This Father’s Day, Jamilla would like to tell her dad that she loves him and that he is the best dad in the world!

Brody O’Malley has a big heart, especially when it comes to his dad. He loves playing sports with him, particularly baseball and basketball. His dad is also very funny and always sharing dad jokes. They have created many great memories together, including trips to the beach where they swam in the ocean. One thing Brody’s dad has taught him that he will never forget is how to dribble a basketball—a skill that continues to impact his life since he plays often. This Father’s Day, Brody would like to tell his dad that he is a great dad!

Camden Andre is a 5th grader at Copper Ridge and shares a special bond with his dad. One of his favorite things about him is his sense of humor—he is always telling funny dad jokes. Camden especially loves when his dad sings along to songs in the car, at restaurants, or just about anywhere. One of Camden’s favorite memories is when they went snorkeling in Hawaii, where they saw turtles, lots of fish, and even dolphins. His dad has also taught him the importance of always being a good person, no matter what. This Father’s Day, Camden wants his dad to know that he loves him and that he is the best dad ever!

Maddie Andre:  Father’s Day is always special, especially for me, because my dad is one of my biggest inspirations—especially when it comes to music. We share so many of the same interests, from sports and Stranger Things to singing in public without caring what others think. We love artists like Bruno Mars and recently went to the Romantic Tour together, even getting matching T-shirts—it was one of the best days of my life. We also enjoy going to games like ASU volleyball, basketball, football, and NASCAR events. People often say I’m just like my dad—same face, same personality—which apparently includes his bad eyesight! One of my favorite memories is singing our hearts out together at that concert. Most importantly, he’s taught me to always be kind, because you never know what someone else is going through. This Father’s Day, I want him to know how much I love him and to never change his fun, quirky personality!

Stroll Silverleaf & DC Ranch would like to wish all the dads in our community a very Happy Father's Day!
