The Trilingual Edge: How ISA Prepares Students for a Borderless World
As French King Charlemagne once said, “To have another language is to possess a second soul.” Though at ISA we have three souls. This is because the International School of Arizona is a dual immersion preschool - eighth grade program where students learn their curriculum in one of two language tracks: Spanish or French. The dual immersion program fosters bilingualism.
When a student enters 4th grade, they unlock the chance to become trilingual, learning Spanish if they were in the French track or taking French if they were in the Spanish track. At ISA, we prioritize students being able to speak fluent languages; that is why all language teachers at ISA were born in Spanish or French speaking countries, ensuring the students' accents are on point.
At ISA, we have proven that students got so good at their language we promote exchange programs that test kids' knowledge. Throughout the years, students have been able to converse with foreign children, creating long-lasting, unforgettable relationships.
At ISA we also offer the French DELF and the Spanish DELE. This means if you pass one of these tests you can get a certificate that lets you: apply to French/Spanish universities/high schools, get French/ Spanish jobs and you can use it for French / Spanish nationality, etc.
Quote From Student At ISA:
“My extra language helps me in other countries because I visit Lebanon every summer and people speak French. Before I was weak in French, but because I came to ISA, I have perfected French. If I were at a regular school, I would struggle in my home country Lebanon.”
At ISA we are not just a school, we open doors to infinite possibilitie
