Hello! I’m Indu Kalwa, the Founder of Peaky Blinds LLC, headquartered in sunny Florida. I transitioned into entrepreneurship after serving as a Public Health Officer in Melbourne, Australia. With a Doctor of Pharmacy from Malla Reddy College of Pharmacy in Hyderabad and a Master’s in Public Health from La Trobe University, my journey has been defined by purpose and transformation.I come from a close-knit family that has always valued education, ethics, and service. My experience in the public sector helped me develop strategic, analytical, and people-first leadership skills—qualities that now anchor my business mission.

Founded in April 2024, Peaky Blinds LLC emerged from my personal experience during the pandemic lockdown. As I revamped my living space to create comfort and functionality, I realized how overlooked window furnishings were in enhancing everyday living. This sparked the idea for a business dedicated to customized, elegant, and functional blinds and drapes for modern homes.Our mission is simple:“To transform living spaces with tailored window solutions that reflect elegance, comfort, and individuality.”

Launching a business as a solo founder without prior industry experience was daunting. Sourcing reliable suppliers, managing logistics, and learning compliance were tough—but overcoming these taught me resilience, agility, and financial discipline. Today, we’ve tripled our service area and grown our client base by over 60% in just one year.

We’re thrilled about our upcoming launch of smart blinds integrated with Alexa and Google Home. We’re also working on an online visualization tool where clients can preview how different fabrics look in their homes. In Q4 2025, we aim to open our second design studio showroom in Jacksonville.
