Where did you grow up? How long have you lived in the area? Tell us about your family

I grew up near Baton Rouge, Louisiana and have lived in various places around the country, but I have called Arizona my home for the majority of my adult life. I have two children and one grandchild. Both of my children work with me at the studio.

Tell us about the events that led up to where you are now…

I have been a nurse most of my life, working in various nursing capacities from hospice to hospital work. Currently, I specialize in teaching and training nurses for surgical procedures. This has given me the opportunity to travel, learn about the importance of physical health, and how to help others look and feel their best. Naturally, that led me to seeking a business with promising health benefits.

What is your business, how/why did you start your business?

Beem Light Sauna - Gilbert is a full-service red light and infrared sauna studio with spacious private rooms. The studio has been open for 2 years, but I acquired the business in January 2026. My background in healthcare naturally drove me to seek out a business that would allow me to help others look and feel their best. Red light being used to treat skin conditions and other chronic conditions was a relatively new concept at the time, but one with promising research and recorded benefits from those who fully engage in the healing process.

What is unique about your business?

We have top-of-the-line full-spectrum red light panels, bluetooth infrared saunas with quick heat adjustments to suit your needs, and multiple large private showers. Our staff can tailor your visit to your specific needs, and love to interact with our clients. What really sets us apart is our flexibility and pricing. We offer lower rates than most competitors and have more availability and flexibility in our schedules, with many days having same-day availability.

Given your business expertise and the nature of what you do, what advice can you offer to the residents?

All red light treatment is beneficial, but not all red light treatment provides the same benefits. There are many gyms and other studios that offer red light treatment, but many of those machines do not offer a medical-grade full-spectrum system. Most retail red light machines only use one wavelength, and some of the higher-end machines use 2 wavelengths, which means that the only benefits you are receiving from these machines are surface-level and near-surface-level treatment, which mostly focus on treating acne or scarring. Our medical-grade full-spectrum panels use 3 wavelengths, meaning that you are still receiving surface and near-surface level benefits, but you are also receiving cellular and muscular benefits due to the additional wavelength our machines utilize. The 3rd wavelength penetrates the dermal layer for deeper skin penetration and provides internal healing and recovery.
