Where did you grow up? How long have you lived in the area? Tell us about your family.
I emigrated from Ghana, West Africa and been living in Arizona since 2017. Been to other states but AZ is my home away from home. Me and my husband currently live in the Seville Community with our two daughters; 4 year old and 1 year old.
Tell us about the events that led up to where you are now.
I’m a software engineer by day and morph into an entrepreneur/small business owner by night. I’m an alumni of Arizona State University; go Sun Devils! I’ve always loved computers and machines and both my day and night adventures help me create awesome things!
What is your business, how/why did you start your business?
At Ella Kay Studio, we make personalized gifts and decor. What began as a love for crafting and personalizing gifts and jewelry has blossomed into a creative hub where artistry meets technology. From designing intricate beaded jewelry to mastering laser and UV printing, our journey has always been fueled by innovation and the desire to create meaningful, customized pieces. When we discovered engraving, vinyl and printing solution, we saw an opportunity to take personalization to the next level—and we haven’t looked back since!
