Holiday Scramble Events Bring Fun, Festivity, and Fellowship to the Course

Our annual Thanksgiving and Christmas scrambles once again delivered a perfect blend of friendly competition and holiday cheer. Both events feature a lively nine-hole scramble format designed to keep the focus on fun, camaraderie, and a few surprises along the way.

Each foursome begins the round with a playful twist: before teeing off, every player is assigned a holiday-themed character—such as a Turkey, Pilgrim, or other festive favorite. When players reach the green, they open an envelope revealing a character for that hole. The score recorded is determined by whichever player’s character matches the one in the envelope, adding an element of suspense and laughter throughout the round.

Following nine holes of spirited play, golfers gather for a themed lunch that perfectly complements the holiday being celebrated. Winners are announced, stories are shared, and the festive atmosphere continues off the course.

The Christmas event adds a few extra special touches, including a gift for every attendee and a “Year in Review” address from Captain Jan Soderstrom, reflecting on the highlights of the season and the year as a whole. It’s a meaningful and memorable way to celebrate our community and wrap up the year together.

These holiday scrambles have become a cherished tradition—bringing members together to celebrate the season, enjoy great golf, and create lasting memories.
