Say Hello to the Warrick Family!

This month, we want to give a warm welcome to the Warrick family! Jeff and Kristin Warrick have lived in the neighborhood for a year, as of this past August.

“We love the outdoors, and it was important to have a safe, friendly neighborhood for our kids to explore during their childhood,” says Kristin. She and Jeff are blessed with four children, Taryn (11), Ellasyn (8), Morgan (6) and Coleton (4). Their beloved pets include their dog Hauser, their bearded dragon Bolt, and their bunny who is actually named “Kitty.”

Two Become One

“Our paths crossed in our early years in healthcare,” says Jeff. At the time, Kristin was in marketing and professional education with Johnson & Johnson. Jeff is a distributor partner for small and large businesses, such as Zimmer-Biomet. Kristin takes credit for asking Jeff out first! They’ve been together ever since.

Kristin, who is originally from Texas, attended UC Irvine and is in the process of completing her MBA at Claremont Graduate University, Peter Drucker School of Management.

As for Jeff, he was born in Virginia. However, since his dad worked for the foreign service, he moved many times as a child. He lived in Turkey and is fluent in French from attending schools on the west coast of Africa. After graduating with a business degree from Christopher Newport University in Virginia, he started a medical devices distribution company, for over 20 years. Specializing in orthopedic and spine hardware, as well as the latest technologies in biologics, Jeff’s business has grown through the years.

Kristin transferred her marketing management experience into real estate by joining Vista Sotheby’s International Realty four years ago. Licensed in real estate for almost 20 years for investments, she decided to trade her corporate role for entrepreneurship in real estate and home design.

From their experience in healthcare, Kristin and Jeff have become loyal supporters of the American Red Cross. Kristin has sponsored a semiannual Red Cross Blood Drive.  This event has grown in success with an outpouring of support from the community.

Recently, Kristin and Jeff have partnered with a domestic non-profit organization to support the local schools still in need of English teachers and technology. This experience has been an important growing experience for the Warrick children to learn to help other children grow, too.

Family Fun

As a family, time together is well spent. Their most favorite time is at their second home at Lake Tahoe. Kristin shares, “The drive has become a bit longer with four kids than our early days as a married couple, but the memories are precious as the kids experience all Tahoe has to offer.”

Traveling is another pastime for the Warrick family. Their favorite international destination is Costa Rica. Eighteen years ago, during their honeymoon, Jeff and Kristin were enamored by the beauty of the country and the friendly Costa Ricans. It’s been one of their favorite vacation spots ever since. However, they also love the local area. Jeff says, “You still cannot beat a beautiful day at the beach in sunny southern California!”

To relax and unwind, Jeff enjoys surfing and is a motorcycle enthusiast. Kristin enjoys yoga for relaxation. She also recently joined the Women’s Community Club of Rolling Hills and has truly enjoyed meeting her amazing neighbors.

Meet the Kids

Taryn, Ellasyn, Morgan and Coleton all enjoy active lives. Kristin comments, “The kids are extremely active in sports with AYSO and Rolling Hills Little League.  They also train and compete in gymnastics and dance.” Despite their busy schedules, the Warricks try to save time for a family hike on the weekends.

The three girls attend school at Riviera Hall Lutheran School in South Redondo, and Coleton is still in preschool at Town & Country Nursery School.

One fun fact about the kids is that they rarely have matching socks. That could be blamed on Hauser, who eats more socks than dog food!

We are honored to feature the Warrick family in this month’s issue. Thanks for sharing your story with your neighbors in Rolling Hills!
