Our October Restaurant Review brought the Riverview crew to Frazier Five & Dime, a Northshore gem blending casual fine dining with nostalgic style. The moment we stepped inside, the glow of warm lighting, big windows, and friendly faces set the tone for a relaxed but elevated evening.
We started with a round of small plates that hit every note. The Deviled Eggs were an instant favorite—smooth, creamy, and finished with just the right crunch. “Amazing!” said Zack Bowman. “Unique flavor and texture,” added Cheryl Trimble. The Caper Tapenade on grilled sourdough earned raves from Rachael Bowman and Matt Gibson for its balance of salt and smoke, while Toxey Tribby called it “buttery and perfect.”
Even the Roasted Beets won over skeptics. “I didn’t think I liked beets, but I tried this—and loved it!” Cheryl confessed. The Fried Oysters impressed everyone with their golden crunch and potato salad pairing. “Fantastic flavor,” said Todd Tribby. And the Grilled Lamb Meatballs? Tender and unforgettable. “This will be our new go-to,” Zack declared.
Then came the cocktails—each one photo-worthy and full of personality. The Violet Vines was “sweet, light, and slightly fruity,” said Sarah Gibson, while Cheryl called it “fresh perfection.” The smoky Fear & Loathing struck Rachael as “a perfect balance of sweet and citrus.” The sparkling Katy Perry was crisp and playful, and the indulgent Thirsty Cougar—a bold espresso and bourbon-crème creation—was the talk of the table. “The perfect blend of sweet and coffee,” said Toxey.
Guests agreed the vibe was just as good as the food. “Upbeat, warm, and elevated,” said Sarah Gibson. Matt Gibson loved the open space and music, while Camille Sommer described every bite as “beautifully done and full of flavor.”
“This was our first time—and it’s our new date-night spot,” Zack Bowman added, summing up what we all felt: Frazier Five & Dime is Northshore’s new must-visit.
