Maggie is their “COVID puppy,” a decision made during a quieter season of life when the house felt just a little too still. And she is nothing if not consistent. Three times a day, like clockwork, she arrives with her blue treat toy. Eight, twelve, and five. No reminders needed. Maggie runs a tight schedule and makes sure everyone else does too.

Her favorite place in the house is the sofa, where she sits like a full-grown person, front legs down, back end planted, eyes locked on the television. Sports, news, it does not matter. Around the neighborhood, she enjoys her walks and her visits to The Ranch at Bonny Oaks, where she is clearly adored. At home, she has taken on an equally important role as the devoted cleanup crew for her toddler grandson, a job she performs with great pride and zero hesitation.
