Island Time at Baha Mar
Rebecca Rader and her family found sunshine, adventure, and plenty of time together in Nassau.
When Rebecca Rader and her family began dreaming about a tropical getaway, they were looking for the best of both worlds: a relaxing escape for the adults and plenty of fun for the children. Along with another family, they packed their bags for Baha Mar in Nassau, Bahamas, where they found just the vacation they had hoped for.
There was never a shortage of ways to spend the day. The families enjoyed the beach, pools, water park, restaurants, and the resort’s many family-friendly activities. Whether they were cooling off in the water or simply slowing down and enjoying the tropical surroundings, there was something for everyone.
As much as they enjoyed their time at the resort, their favorite memory came from an adventure on the water. The group chartered a private boat and set out to explore several of the beautiful small islands surrounding Nassau.
“Our favorite experience was the chartered boat trip,” Rebecca shared. “We loved exploring the beautiful small islands, and the kids had so much fun with all the water activities. It was such a unique and memorable day for our entire family.”
One of the highlights was a stop at Athol Island, where they saw the famous swimming pigs. The playful encounter made an already special day even more fun and gave the families a story they will enjoy sharing for years to come.
For River Ranch neighbors considering a trip to the Bahamas, Rebecca encourages them to make time for an excursion beyond the resort.
“Chartering a boat to explore the nearby islands and visit the swimming pigs was definitely the highlight of our trip,” she said.
Between relaxing beach days, exciting water activities, and the chance to discover new places together, the vacation offered the perfect mix of rest and adventure. Most importantly, it gave the two families uninterrupted time to laugh, explore, and create memories together.
After such a wonderful experience, Rebecca and her family are already looking forward to the day they can return to the Bahamas.
