Hop, Flip, Tumble! Ellis Frayard Brings Big Energy to the Mat
This River Ranch 4-year-old is all smiles (and pike jumps) at Trampoline & Tumbling Express, where he jumps high, practices headstands on the couch, and always makes time for a sweet treat from Jet—before or after class.

What’s your name, and how old are you?
I’m Ellis Frayard and I just turned 4.
Where do you tumble?
I take classes at Trampoline & Tumbling Express.
Do you like jumping, rolling, flipping, or stretching the best?
I like jumping the best because it’s so much fun! I like jumping really, really high and all over the place.
How do you feel when you're at tumbling class?
I feel happy because I love doing pike jumps! But after class, I feel tired.
What do you wear to tumbling class? Do you have a favorite outfit or color?
I wear a t-shirt and shorts. Purple is my favorite color to wear all the time. (Mom likes to dress him in neon to easily spot him on the other side of the gym!)
Who is your coach and what do you like about them?
I like Coach Cecilia because she’s nice and sometimes lets us play in the foam pit. I like Coach Bri because she teaches me new hard things. (Coach Bri is also training to qualify for the 2028 Olympics!) I love watching Mr. Alexi and the big kids jump on the big trampoline because they go all the way to the ceiling! (Alexi competed in the 2020 & 2024 Olympics.)
Do you tumble more like a monkey, a kangaroo, or a cheetah?
I’m more like a kangaroo because I hop the most.
What do your family members say when they watch you tumble?
They say “good job” and “go Ellis!" (His cousin, Kitt, also does classes at T&T. Sunday family dinners at Kiki’s house often end with cartwheel and handstand contests, where Ellis’ dad and Kitt’s mom usually take home the bragging rights.)
Do you ever practice your moves at home? Where’s your favorite place to practice?
I practice headstands on my couch! (You can often find Ellis and his little brother, Avery, upside down on their heads, just hanging out on the couch. They even practiced their handstands all over the Atlanta airport during a long delay this summer!)
What is your favorite snack to eat after tumbling?
We always get a bag of Caroline’s Cookie Dough Bites from Jet before or after class. Mom gets one and I get three!
What do you do when you’re not at tumbling?
I like to play outside on the playground, and I always want to go swimming. I like to do puzzles and play with my toys with Avery at my house. I love riding the golf cart to feed the ducks and turtles the most.
