More about the Lafayette Challenger Division:
The Lafayette Challenger Division is a beloved local baseball league that gives children with physical and intellectual challenges the chance to enjoy the game of baseball in a supportive, inclusive environment. Founded on the belief that everyone deserves the chance to play, this special league brings joy and connection to players and families alike. In 2011, the team received national recognition when it was invited to participate in an exhibition game at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA—one of only two teams with disabilities selected for the honor. The game was even streamed on an ESPN platform, giving viewers a chance to witness the players’ incredible spirit and love for the game. More than a decade later, many of those same athletes are still rounding the bases every weekend, proving that heart, perseverance, and community are what truly define a winning team.
