Charlie and Elizabeth Baudoin have lived in River Ranch for 23 years in five different homes. The Baudoins have two daughters who live nearby with their families. Jeanne and Sean Mahoney have two children, 7-year-old Isabella and 5-year-old Emery. Catherine and Ben Baudoin’s children are 3-year-old James and 1-year-old Edward.

 

Charlie and Elizabeth have a 13-year-old Shih Tzu named Teddy. “He is very laid back, and the grandkids love him,” shared Charlie.

 

The couple, originally from Abbeville, met in 1982 in the shoe department at Brother’s in the Acadiana Mall. Charlie is a REALTOR® with Latter & Blum, and Elizabeth is a retired educator. Elizabeth enjoys playing tennis, sewing for her grandchildren, cooking, and taking walks in the neighborhood. The two like to spend time with family and friends and try out local restaurants. Their favorites are Charlie G’s, Marcello’s, LaFonda, Pour, and City Club.

 

“We have a second home in New Roads on False River, so we enjoy quick getaways there,” said Charlie. “We also enjoy any vacation along the Gulf Coast, especially the 30A area in Florida.”

 

The Baudoins support UL Lafayette sports teams and are big fans of professional tennis. “We have been to the U.S. Open several times,” Charlie remarked.

 

Charlie and Elizabeth are parishioners of St. Mary Catholic Church and are involved in various Catholic organizations in the area. Some of their family traditions include Mardi Gras, Sunday dinners, and Christmas Eve open house with friends and family.
