Club Pilates: Jessika Knight & Andrea Grady

My name is Andrea Gandy, owner of Club Pilates Norman and co-owner of Club Pilates Moore. I have lived in South Oklahoma City and Moore area for almost 9 years.

I opened Club Pilates Norman in July 2019. I joined forces with Jessika Knight to purchase Club Pilates Moore from the previous owner in October of 2021. Our studios are 12-person, group classes, led by an instructor. Our classes are predominately on a Pilates Reformer, but we also use the Spring Board, the EXO-Chair, and many other pieces of equipment. Every class is a full-body workout! We have six different class types, which include strength training, cardio, stretching, and much more!

I grew up in the Norman area and went to college in Edmond at UCO. My husband is a retired Oklahoma Highway Patrolman, so we have lived in lots of fun places throughout Oklahoma. We were so happy to settle into the Moore area and plan to stay put. I have two sons that are now 22 and 18. My oldest, Will, graduated from Westmoore and then the University of Oklahoma. He is currently in an accelerated commercial pilot program at Wiley Post, hoping to become a commercial pilot. Will also teaches part-time at the Club Pilates Norman and has become a very popular instructor.  My youngest, Wyatt graduated from Southmoore and is attending Oklahoma State University, where he is majoring in aviation and is in their Pro-Pilot program. He also hopes to become a commercial pilot.

I spent 21 years in the financial industry, working for several local banks. I have done everything from teller work, new accounts, and lending, to managing banking centers and training staff. In my early forties, I fell into Pilates - just looking for a workout I would enjoy and want to do more than once. I joined Club Pilates Moore when it opened and fell in love with the modality. Pilates is not something that I was familiar with, but I knew it was working in my body and I was feeling better than ever. I wanted to share that experience with as many people as possible.

In July of 2019, I was able to purchase a Club Pilates franchise and open the studio in Norman. While it was a lot of hard work and COVID-19 provided an extra layer of challenges, I would not do it any differently. I became an instructor as I was opening the studio and I absolutely LOVE teaching Pilates to people. My sons were able to go to work in the studio, so it is truly a family venture. In Norman, we have created not just a place to workout, but a family of over 350 members! Men and women of all ages, sizes, and backgrounds.

In October of 2021, Jessika Knight and I were able to purchase Club Pilates Moore and it has been a great experience. Jessika also went to Pilates teacher training and now teaches as well. We love the members that were already at Moore and their dedication and loyalty is like no other. We have also been able to add lots of new members, but there is always room for more.

At Club Pilates Moore, we take pride in offering a safe and welcoming environment to anyone that walks through the door. We believe that ANY BODY can do Pilates and we want to help everyone reap the benefits of Pilates. Between both studios we have 17 instructors, some teach at both studios and some are just at Moore or Norman. They are all amazing and I can’t even count the number of years we have in total experience, like 300+ years of talent in our studios. They are local men and women that are a huge part of our community, schools, churches and more. Our instructors and our members are what set us apart from any other gym or exercise facility. We have created a community of friends, sharing our workout journeys and lives with one another. Our instructors know your name, your goals, and will do whatever it takes to help you.

It is never too late to start something new! Never stop learning. Pilates is a journey and it starts very basic and can improve so many aspects of your life. It’s functional movement – we help you strengthen, stretch, and use the muscles you need to live a healthy active life. Pilates gives you more movement in joints, protects you from injuries, corrects your posture, and increases your flexibility. Our members range in age from 18 to 80. Do not put it off any longer – try Pilates! Your first class is always free, so call or come by the studio and sign up for a complimentary introductory class. We also offering 10%   off memberships to any residents of Rivendell. The studio is located at 12301 S. Western Ave, Suite B-5 – on Western between Brink Junior High and Westmoore High School. Or call us at 405-759-7111.

Hi! My name is Jessika Knight and I am the co-owner of Club Pilates Moore. Pilates has been a passion of mine for 8+ years and being able to combine it with my love of business has been a dream come true. I worked in the oil and gas industry for a long time and after the pandemic, I decided I wanted to do something where I could spend more time with my family! So, I really changed gears and decided to become a Pilates instructor! Shortly after getting certified, the opportunity to purchase the Moore location came up and Andrea and I decided WHY NOT?!  Being an owner, a manager, and an instructor has been challenging and fulfilling all at once and I couldn’t imagine it any other way. You will see me in and out of the studio daily whether I am teaching or just up there getting to visit with members, who are really more like family to me! Our studio’s success comes from our passion and love of Pilates. We genuinely believe Pilates is life-changing, mentally and physically, at any age and love getting the privilege of sharing it with people.

I was born and raised in Denton Tx and moved here in 2008 for college. BOOMER SOONER! Like many others before me, I met a boy and just never left! Blake and I have been married 8 years now and have 2 little boys. Hawkins is 7 and Baker is 3 and they keep us on our toes 24/7. Life is so fun with them, and I am beyond thankful I have the flexibility in my job to be able to watch them grow up. Hawkins is already really involved in sports (football, soccer, baseball, & hockey) and it has been so cool to show him how the mobility, flexibility, and strength you gain from Pilates help him excel in sports and also prevent injuries!

If you talk to anyone that knows me, they will say I am always up to some sort of project. I love to build and renovate houses and do it any chance I get. I’m super hands-on and love to learn all I can about the process. Huge shout out to my husband for putting up with me renovating just about every room in my house for no reason except for the fact I absolutely love to do it. Next up is Andrea’s kitchen reno! I can’t wait!
