Originally from Columbus, Nebraska, Tara graduated from Columbus High School and later moved to Wichita to pursue a marketing degree from Wichita State University. In 2005, her love for unique finds and fashion led her to the Dallas Market, where she began hand-selecting items that now make up the ever-changing and carefully curated inventory of Exquisite Impressions.

“I’ve never had a storefront,” Tara explains. “But I’ve always been a buyer. That’s how I keep my inventory fresh and special. I try not to carry multiples of the same item, so customers always find something unique when they shop with me.” While she operates primarily from her home, you can also find select items from Exquisite Impressions at Wildflower Mercantile in Wichita.

Tara’s boutique offers a wide variety of gifts and accessories. From stylish purses and chic sunglasses to cozy candles, umbrellas, and Swig cups, there’s something for everyone. While she doesn’t offer services like personal styling or home delivery, her wide range of hand-picked products stands out in a crowded retail world.

What also sets Tara apart is how she brings her boutique directly to her customers. “I host pop-up shops at my home and other locations throughout the year. I announce those events on Instagram and Facebook, so I encourage everyone to follow me there or shoot me a text to get on my list,” she says.
