Many of you may know that Nick Chubb, the Cleveland Browns running back, lives in Red Tail, but did you know Ephraim Banda, the Brown’s safeties’ coach also lives here? Last year Red Tail and its newest development off of St. Therese Blvd., welcomed to the community the Bandas: Ephraim, Crystal, Darian (24) who currently resides in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Aamani (6).  

While Ephraim is coaching the Browns, Crystal is working as a Real Estate professional/property manager.  Crystal loves to also volunteer at Avon East Elementary and the Cleveland Food Bank. Their son, Darian, is a Graduate Student Assistant Linebacker Coach for Louisiana State University Football. On Saturdays it is “Geaux Tigers” while on Sundays it is “Go Brownies”! Their daughter Aamani is also very active. She dances at Step by Step, takes gymnastics classes at Great Lakes, and plays softball for Avon Little League. 

Ephraim and Crystal are originally from Texas. Ephraim grew up in  San Antonio, Texas while Crystal grew up in Kerrville - Texas Hill Country. Both attended University of Texas-Austin. It is no surprise then that the two also enjoy Texas country music! 

When Ephraim isn’t coaching they enjoy traveling home to their primary residence, the Florida Keys. They  also spend time golfing, traveling, snowboarding, skiing, and  fishing when they aren’t  hauling around their daughter to various sports. Locally, the family has come to appreciate the numerous parks and the Red Tail pool in the summer. The Bandas have discovered  some great restaurants here in Cleveland including Marble Room, Tacos de Pueblo, Strip Steakhouse, and numerous others. One of their family traditions is hosting Thanksgiving dinner with their players! 

When asked what their favorite part about living in Red Tail was, they responded,  “Our neighbors are the absolute best, we have made some lifelong friends here in this community!”  We are glad to have the Bandas in Red Tail!
