Meet the Kropp Family

Gordon, Mary, and their spirited daughter Nia, along with their beloved adopted German Shepherd, Carmella. Residing on Via San Angelo, this family has found their own slice of tranquility on hole 16, overlooking a picturesque pond and surrounded by stunning River Birch trees.

Originally from Ohio — Gordon hailing from Cincinnati and Mary from Cleveland — the two met at Bowling Green State University while both were business students. A shared stats class sparked a connection that has grown into a vibrant family life. Today, Gordon works as a Supply Chain Manager at Sealand Chemical, while Mary leads as the Head of Digital Sales at PNC.

In their free time, the Kropps are an active bunch. They love hiking the Cleveland Metroparks, especially near the Nature Center, and Nia enjoys the playground at Schwartz Park. In the warmer months, they can often be found poolside, soaking in the sun. The family also loves games — from pickleball and pinball to board games and video games. When it’s time to relax, they cozy up for TV marathons, currently binge-watching “White Lotus” and reminiscing about favorites like “The Sopranos” and “Stranger Things.”

Friday nights are often spent at Fat Heads Brewery for a relaxed family dinner, while date nights take them to Gordon Square for pinball at Super Electric and a meal at Luxe. Their love for exploration has taken them to Scottsdale, Arizona, Naples, Florida, and the breathtaking national parks of Bryce, Zion, and the Grand Canyon.

The Kropps are loyal fans of the Guardians, Browns, and Cavs — though they admit that being Browns fans sometimes tests their patience. Musically, their playlist covers everything from country to yacht rock.

At home, family dinners are a cherished routine, with Nia often helping out in the kitchen to whip up some delicious Annie’s Mac & Cheese. The family is big on traditions, hosting Thanksgiving for over two dozen relatives and making homemade pierogi for Christmas. Birthday celebrations always feature cake and a candle!

While not heavily involved in the community just yet, the Kropps anticipate deepening their ties when Nia starts kindergarten at Avon City Schools. Until then, they’re grateful for the quiet charm and beauty of their neighborhood.

Whether playing pickleball, hitting the trails, or savoring a relaxed evening at home, the Kropps embody a dynamic blend of adventure, family connection, and Midwestern spirit.
Welcome to Red Tail, Kropp family!!
