Publisher's Note
Dear Red Tail Neighbors,
February has rolled in with frosty air, snowy vibes, and all the cozy winter feels. While the cold and gray skies might make us want to stay bundled up under a blanket, they also give us the perfect excuse to lean into what really warms this neighborhood up: love, connection, and those little acts of kindness that brighten even the grayest days.
I speak on this from experience after I experienced a few rough months with several health issues, procedures, and surgeries culminating in losing my beloved dog, Bella. For weeks, Red Tail friends nourished me with meals and food gift cards, kept me company with visits, texts, and calls, and warmed my heart with sweet, comforting gifts. Red Tail is quite simply an amazing community!
This month, as we celebrate Valentine’s Day, we should be reminded how lucky we are to live in a place where love extends far beyond roses and ribbons. It’s in the friendly waves from neighbors bundled in coats and scarves, the shared shoveling of driveways after a heavy snowfall, and the way this community shows up for each other again and again.
We’re also excited for one of our favorite annual traditions: the Ladies’ Galentine’s Event on Thursday, February 12th. It’s always a wonderful evening of laughter, friendship, and celebration—an energizing reminder that love comes in many forms, especially the kind we share with our friends and neighbors.
And, of course, as winter rolls on, we continue to cheer for our Cleveland Cavaliers as they bring some much-needed spark and excitement to these cold evenings. Their hustle and heart give us something to root for while we count down the days until warmer weather.
Hang in there—we’re just one more month away from Spring’s return. Soon enough, the snow will melt, the sun will stretch a little longer across the sky, and Red Tail will bloom back to life, and you will hear those all-too-familiar words, “FORE!"
Until then, stay warm, stay connected, and keep spreading the love that makes this community truly special.
With love and gratitude,
Kasey Kellem
