Mila stays active playing soccer, golf, basketball, volleyball, flag football, and track. In soccer, Mila plays center-mid, while in basketball, this speedy girl plays point guard!

Mila has played soccer and golf since she was 4 years old. This school year was her first season for volleyball and track and she’s playing her first season of basketball for Avon Basketball Association this winter. She has also played flag football on and off for 3 years.

If you have been over on Queen’s Gate Court you are sure to have seen Mila practicing her soccer moves with her father, who is her favorite coach!  When she isn’t in her cul-de-sac practicing,  Mila is kicking around the ball at Schwartz Park. Mila plays for both Avon Travel as well as on the  club team, Team Challenger (TCFC). Mila golfed on the Hawks team for Red Tail and played on the Mighty Unicorn girls flag football team at T3. She is on the Avon Purple team for basketball (third grade ABA) and plays volleyball  for her school, Holy Trinity.

This small but mighty athlete has traveled to Columbus and Cincinnati mainly participating in a lot of tournaments and events for soccer. With her club team, Mila has played soccer in the Ohio State Cup, the USYS Futsal Regional Tournament, the Ohio State Cup for Futsal, the United Futbol Cup, the Kings Hammer Blue Chip Championship, the Amherst 3v3 tournament, the Bay Cup, Turkey Cup and Force Cup, just to name a few. She played in her first basketball tournament, the Amherst Tip Off Classic, before Thanksgiving. In golf Mila has played in the Jr PGA tournaments. All of her other sports are local. In the future, she hopes to travel to cool golf courses to play in tournaments.

Mila’s soccer team has won a lot of medals and trophies. Her teammates and she worked really hard and were in over 20 tournaments.  They have made it to the championship games against some of the toughest competition in Ohio and the surrounding states. Her team has won several championships and has come in second a few times, as well. Her Avon Travel team (coached by her father, Ante) has also come in first place in the top division of their age group two years in a row.  Mila’s basketball team also won a medal at their first tournament. They lost a close game in the championship but it was really cool to even make it there given that it was their first weekend ever playing together!

Mila idolizes soccer player Alex Morgan, a famous former soccer player who played for the San Diego Wave FC of the National Women’s Soccer League and the United States national team. Mila has also met several Browns players, including Nick Chubb, JC Tretter, Tashaun Gipson, and the 2023 rookie class.
