HOA Updates
Crown Colony hill
The Red Tail HOA, managed by seven volunteers, oversees common areas (263,000 sq. ft.) and six retention ponds. Last year, we assessed landscaping needs, worked with the golf course to define property boundaries, gathered resident input, and selected MVP for landscaping services. A revised 5-year Landscape & Maintenance Plan was developed in collaboration with MVP, Continental Management, and the County Auditor.
Retention ponds help manage rainwater runoff and must comply with federal, state, and local regulations. To maintain them, we updated maps and hired Jones Fish Management for algae and weed control and Bramhall Engineering for annual reports. Residents must not alter or mow within 15 ft. of ponds—concerns should be directed to the Architecture Review Board (ARB) via Redtailhoa.com.
The Crown Colony hill issue is being addressed through a 3-year plan. Phase 1 was completed successfully, Phase 2 begins this summer, and Phase 3 starts in 2026. MVP and Irrigation INC manage the irrigation system, and due to tampering, locks will be added to control boxes.
Residents must keep common areas clean—no yard waste, fishing, boating, or swimming in HOA ponds. Pet waste must be properly disposed of. Home or landscaping changes require ARB approval.
