This fall, Mylah Beran will begin an exciting new chapter at Kent State University, where she plans to study fashion design with the goal of one day starting her own business. Driven by creativity and ambition, Mylah views fashion as more than clothing. She sees it as a powerful form of expression and identity. Her long-term vision is to create a brand that reflects originality, confidence, and purpose while combining artistic passion with strong entrepreneurial drive.

Her journey to this point reflects both talent and discipline. As a member of the National Honor Society, Mylah has demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to serving others. She has balanced challenging coursework with meaningful extracurricular involvement, showing that she can manage responsibility while continuing to pursue her goals with focus and determination.

Having traveled and lived in the Middle East, Mylah has gained a deeper understanding of how culture influences fashion. Experiencing different traditions, values, and styles firsthand has broadened her perspective and strengthened her appreciation for global design. She has seen how clothing can reflect heritage, climate, religion, and identity in unique and meaningful ways. This international exposure has inspired her to think beyond trends and consider the cultural stories behind the garments people wear. It has shaped her goal of creating designs that are not only stylish but also thoughtful and inclusive.

Outside of school, Mylah values time spent with her friends and family. She enjoys making memories with the people who support and inspire her. She also has a passion for golf, a sport that has helped her develop patience, focus, and resilience. These qualities will serve her well as she enters the competitive and ever-changing world of fashion design.

Mylah also gives back to her community by helping with the Red Tails junior golf program, where she supports and encourages younger participants. With creativity, leadership, and a global perspective, Mylah Beran is stepping confidently into the world of fashion design, ready to turn her vision into reality and build a future entirely her own.
