The End of Summer

Most individuals might recognize that the end of summer moves us toward colder weather in northeast Ohio. This means we will need to turn our attention to more indoor pursuits. No one can dispute this inevitability. However, it is also a time to recognize the fun and fellowship of shared experiences from the long summer. Golf is a big part of the Red Tail community, and many golfers have groups, permanent tee times, and leagues that people enjoy participating in when the weather is fine.
Thursday afternoon is home to just such a group. This afternoon's permanent tee time, organized by Jose Urrutia, has gone through a variety of names on the tee sheet. It has finally settled on the Mike Sievers golf group in honor of one of their deceased but dearly loved members. Every fall, when the weather becomes more uncertain, the group no longer formally gathers for the Thursday tee time. Instead, mark the end of the season with an evening dinner with spouses.
This event occurred at Ibiza restaurant on September 20, and many participants from the group were able to join in the fun. The dinner, dessert, and Spanish coffee were satisfying and brought a sweet conclusion to the golf season for this group of dedicated golfers.
Isn’t that what joining such an active club as Red Tail is all about? Creating lifelong friendships and enjoying the company of others to rehash shared interests. Fall golf may be somewhat uncertain in the coming days, but memories like these are priceless.
