Summer has officially arrived in Red Tail! With school now out and backpacks tucked away for a few months, our neighborhood is shifting into that wonderful rhythm of longer days, later sunsets, and a little more time to simply enjoy being together.

June is also the month we celebrate Father’s Day—a special time to recognize the dads, grandfathers, and father figures who show up every day with guidance, humor, patience, and love. Whether it’s teaching life lessons, coaching from the sidelines, grilling in the backyard, or planning family adventures, we’re grateful for the important role fathers play in our families and community. 

I’m especially grateful to have my dad, who turns 86 next month. He’s healthy, active, sharp, and as funny as ever. We share weekly dinners and games of Liverpool Rummy, which he plays with all my family members.  I never take this time for granted—I thank God for him every day. 

This summer also marks a personal milestone for me as I celebrate my 60th birthday. It’s one of those moments that makes you pause and appreciate the people and places that shape your life. Trust the journey! Being part of the Red Tail community and sharing your stories each month through Stroll Red Tail has truly been one of those meaningful blessings.

With summer vacation underway, many of our Red Tail families will be heading out on family vacations—whether it’s a road trip, a beach getaway, visiting relatives, or exploring somewhere new. These trips often become the stories we tell for years to come. Safe travels to everyone who is heading out, and we look forward to hearing about your adventures when you return.

For those staying closer to home, Red Tail offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy the season—from neighborhood gatherings to evenings on the patio and time spent with friends and neighbors.  Golf, pickleball, and spending time at the pool are also among the great amenities of living in Red Tail!
