Proud college graduates soar into the future, ready to lead, inspire, and make a difference.

Logan Kresevich
Colin MacLean III
Parents: Sally and Colin MacLean
College: John Carroll University
Degree: Bachelor of Science
Major: Business, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship
During college, Colin spent summers working at Crown Acura, gaining real-world experience that many of his classmates lacked. That hands-on exposure taught him the value of experience — without it, one is just guessing.
At John Carroll University, Colin and his friend Dave started the Sales Club. Even at a small school, they built a strong group and used his dealership experience to demonstrate that sales is a legitimate, rewarding career path that develops transferable life skills.
If he could do anything differently, Colin would take more time to enjoy college. He often prioritized studying over making memories. In hindsight, GPA isn’t everything — most employers care more about a person’s character and how they collaborate with others.
Colin’s goal is to become a car dealer. He plans to work through management, attend Dealer Academy, and eventually run his own dealership. Everything he has done so far is moving him in that direction.
Colin believes college helps students grow and learn theory, but it doesn’t fully prepare them for the real world. That’s why he minored in entrepreneurship — he wants to build something of his own, not just follow a set path.
His advice to students: meet people. Real relationships lead to real opportunities and help individuals grow far beyond what they can accomplish alone.
Samantha Gattarello
Parents: Millie and Mike Kresevich
College: Cleveland State University
Degree: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Major: Nursing
For Samantha, the decision to pursue nursing was driven by a passion for helping people during their most vulnerable moments and the flexibility within the field to explore various specialties.
Throughout her academic journey, Samantha gained hands-on experience through clinical rotations organized by CSU. These clinicals took her through a variety of hospital departments, ultimately guiding her to her current role on the neurology floor at the Cleveland Clinic. “Based on the clinicals, I chose the hospital and floor I work in now,” she shared.
Balancing rigorous coursework with clinical responsibilities proved to be one of the toughest aspects of her college experience. Adding to the challenge was preparing for and passing the NCLEX, the national licensing exam for nurses, which she successfully completed on her first attempt—a testament to her dedication and preparation.
Outside the classroom, Samantha made time for hiking, yoga, and going to the gym—activities she credits with supporting her mental and physical well-being. When it came to juggling school, social life, and personal time, she emphasized the importance of time management, always putting academics first.
Now a full-time nurse at the Cleveland Clinic, Samantha is already making strides in her career. She praised the Northeast Ohio medical community for offering strong opportunities for new graduates and appreciated the guidance of nursing managers and recruiters during her job search.
Looking ahead, Samantha is focused on becoming the best nurse she can be. While she’s open to further education in the future, her current goal is to deliver excellent patient care every day.

Zach Fligner
Parents: Stephanie & Ben Fligner
College: Kent State University
Degree: Bachelor’s Degree
Major: Marketing
Zach, a recent graduate from Kent State University, chose to major in Marketing, inspired by his father’s success running their family grocery store. Watching his dad build relationships and grow the business sparked Zach’s interest in how companies connect with customers.
While in college, Zach gained hands-on experience through internships at Harvest Sherwood Food Distributors and Great Lakes Smoked Meats. These roles taught him to thrive in fast-paced environments, communicate professionally, and take on real business responsibilities.
Outside the classroom, Zach was actively involved in campus life. He held leadership roles in Alpha Sigma Phi and was a member of Delta Sigma Pi, a professional business fraternity. These experiences helped him develop teamwork, organization, and leadership skills.
Now, Zach is pursuing a full-time role in sales or business development—careers that align with his passion for relationship-building and problem-solving. Long-term, he aims to lead a high-performing team and help companies grow while mentoring others. With a strong foundation from Kent State, Zach is confident and ready for the next chapter, which will start as an Inside Sales Representative at GTRJOBS. Congratulations, Zach!
