The lady golfers were celebrating their wins and wine at the Ladies’ Closing Dinner this past October, thanks to Samantha Mercado owner of Wine & Whiskey. Samantha  educated over 30 ladies about wines from Vinum Cellars. They sampled and enjoyed Chenin Blanc, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon paired with various cheeses, nuts and chocolates. The ladies learned about the different types of grapes and that tannins are from the skins, seeds, and stems of the grapes, as well as oak barrels. 

Samantha holds a Bachelor's of Arts and Science degree from Whiskey University and specializes in whiskey education and curated tasting experiences.  With over two decades in sales, including more than 13 years dedicated to the beverage industry, Samantha is a recognized leader in the art of tasting and appreciating fine spirits. She has a variety of creative wine and whiskey related gifts that she brings along to her presentations. 

The ladies enjoyed taking before and after photos by the wine mural. They also picked up a new term, “Patio Pounders,” referring to the light Chenin Blanc that one can drink a lot of on their back patio! Fun was certainly had by all during this creative and educational closing dinner experience!
