When Fort Collins native Taylor Smyser moved back home after a stint away, he knew one thing for certain: he wanted to build something of his own in the community he loved. “I’ve loved Fort Collins since I was a kid,” Taylor said. “People are friendly, and it’s the kind of place where a handshake still means something. I am honored to serve my neighbors and help keep their homes safe and their air clean.”

 

Taylor’s journey into the air-duct cleaning industry started almost by chance. “I played soccer in Europe for a while, but when I got back, I needed a job. I started working for a duct-cleaning business in Loveland,” he said.

 

The job taught him so much more than he bargained for. “I learned the work, but surprisingly, I really found a passion for what we do,” he said. “I’ve always had that entrepreneurial drive. After a while, I realized I could do it on my own.” In 2021, after gaining years of hands-on experience, Taylor launched Diamond Ducts.

When he’s not on the job, Taylor can often be found on the soccer field, coaching at Fossil Ridge High School. Taylor and his wife are also proud parents to a 14-month-old son. “Spending time with my family, getting outside, instilling a love for the game in my players, that’s what keeps me grounded,” he said.

 

Looking ahead, Taylor has his sights set on continued growth while maintaining the same community-first approach. “I just want to keep building our reputation, one customer at a time,” he said. “Northern Colorado has supported us from the start, and we want to return that support by helping people stay safe, healthy, and comfortable in their homes.”
