Meet The Ridge Family

Highland Meadows Residents Who Value Family, Community, and Fun

The Ridge family has made their home a place of joy, activity, and community involvement. Adam, Erin, and their two children, Payton (13) and Dillon (10), along with their energetic chocolate Labrador, Ollie (3), have lived on Hunter Drive in Highland Meadows since 2020. “We love the greenbelt space between the houses, the proximity to the park, the quiet feel of the neighborhood, and we loved the house when we first saw it. Our neighbors on Hunter Drive are wonderful! They’re kind, helpful, and fun”, states Erin.

Adam and Erin have built careers that align with their passions, Adam as a wine buyer and Erin as a residential real estate agent. Adam’s job allows him to combine his love for wine with his travels abroad, refining his palette over a 20-year career and sharing his knowledge with customers looking for the perfect wine pairings. Erin, with her background as a former educator, has seamlessly transitioned her listening and advising skills into helping clients navigate the often complicated process of buying and selling homes.

Adam and Erin are also enthusiastic about staying active, whether running, working out, or indulging in their love for cooking and wine tasting. Payton is all about dance, participating in ballet, jazz, lyrical, acro, and more. She’s part of a performance team at her studio and practices four nights a week. On the other hand, Dillon loves the outdoors, flag football, and golf, and often rides his mini bike around the neighborhood.

When the Ridge family isn’t busy with activities or enjoying family time at home, they can often be found around the neighborhood walking Ollie, running, playing pickleball or doing projects around the house.

Like many families, the Ridge household has special traditions, especially when it comes to meals. Every Saturday night, they make homemade pizza together—a time for everyone to pitch in and create something delicious. Payton is exceptionally talented in the kitchen and has recently honed her baking skills. The family also loves food outside the home, with Pizza Vino being a local favorite.

The family is also deeply involved in local community events, volunteering in schools, and supporting various outreach programs. Erin has had the opportunity to be involved at the kids’ schools by volunteering in the classroom, through the PTO, and at Payton’s dance studio. Adam assists with coaching Dillon’s football team. Erin says, “We also like supporting local community outreach through coat and clothing drives, food collection, and other grassroots efforts through the kids’ schools or our workplaces.”

Regarding hobbies and travel, the Ridge family continuously pursues new interests and goals. Adam recently completed the Horsetooth Half Marathon in April, adding another race to his marathon and half-marathon resume. Erin, who is always learning, is focused on improving her Spanish and expanding her knowledge of fitness and wellness. Payton, an artistic soul, enjoys graphic design, crafts, and spending time with her friends, while Dillon is an avid gamer and loves playing outdoors. Family-favorite destinations include Hawaii, where they can spend time with relatives, while Erin and Adam especially love exploring wine country in Oregon and California.

The Ridge family is rooted in strong values, with integrity, honesty, hard work, and follow-through central to their daily lives. “Being honest, working hard, and keeping an open mind are all a big part of our family and the way we interact in the home and with others”, states Adam.

The family also creates fun memories together, especially around the holidays. Whether looking at Christmas lights on Christmas Eve, decorating cookies with Nana and Papa, Erin’s parents, or planning special birthday traditions like streamers on bedroom doorframes, they know how to make holidays memorable.

Whether out for a run, whipping up something tasty in the kitchen, or hanging out with neighbors in Highland Meadows, the Ridge family knows how to keep life fun. They’re always up for cheering on their favorite teams (go Broncos, CSU Rams, Liverpool FC, and Chicago Cubs!) or turning up the volume on Erin and Adam’s favorite '90s and early 2000s jams to share nostalgia—and maybe a few dance moves—with the kids. Life’s full of little moments, and the Ridge family is all about enjoying them together.
