Meet the Musselwhites

Will and Sarah Musselwhite have lived in the Porters Neck area for the last six years. Sarah is originally from Jackson, MS, and then spent most of her childhood in Blowing Rock, NC, before making her way to the coast. Will is from Lumberton, NC, and grew up coming to Wrightsville Beach, where his parents have had a beach house since the late eighties. As fate would have it, Sarah met Will one summer night at that very same beach house almost 15 years ago. The two wed at First Presbyterian Church in October 2015 and welcomed their son Edward in September 2016. They have been able to enjoy many sun-drenched boat and pool days as a family since. It’s easy to see why they both think Wrightsville Beach in Wilmington is the best part of North Carolina.

Will has always been a natural-born connector and felt called to help people build the life they have always imagined living through real estate. After graduating from the College of Charleston, Will began working with a reputable Charleston builder as well as a successful development and investment firm. Will decided he was ready to take his knowledge and experience in real estate, development, and marketing. He wanted to provide exceptional services to his clients, and there was only one destination he had in mind: Wilmington, NC. Will returned to the Wilmington area in 2008, where he became a project manager for a local development firm. In 2016, Will joined Landmark Sotheby’s International Realty as a residential real estate broker.

When not working as a full-time mom to her sweet 5-year-old son Edward, Sarah can be found helping small businesses thrive through targeted advertising. Over the last six years, Sarah has worked as the director of sales for a local wedding magazine. Sarah uses her marketing skills to ensure that her clients are not only being well represented but that they are also converting their ad dollars to sales. After Edward was born, Sarah realized that a children’s boutique that fully fit her child’s style needs was where she wanted to be. Utilizing her background in retail buying and selling, Sarah became co-owner of a local children’s boutique. She is currently finalizing the details of a new and exciting business venture.

Will and Sarah are big believers in family time and honoring tradition. Creating a memorable childhood for their son Edward was a top priority when selecting a neighborhood. When they were looking for a neighborhood, they knew they wanted to live in a thriving community in the Porters Neck area that was filled with other families. Having both come from tight-knit families, the importance of quality time made the Porters Neck area a perfect fit. Some of the family’s favorite traditions include going to Highlands, NC, every Thanksgiving and ringing in the new year in Kiawah Island, SC, with the whole family. One of their longest-standing traditions revolves around college basketball! Will and his father have traveled together to the Men’s ACC Basketball Tournament for 30 years in a row. This is a tradition he hopes to continue with his father and son Edward in a couple of years.

Will and Sarah (and Edward) are self-proclaimed foodies and love to share the joy of good food and company. You can typically find them sipping a cocktail at one of their favorite local gems; Portland Grill, The Bento Box, or Kornerstone. When they aren’t out on one of their infamous date nights, you can find them spending time at the Porters Neck Country Club Pool, boating as a family, or unplugging at their family beach house.

In short, the Musselwhites love to have fun and know that the true secret to life is enjoying the company of the ones you love. Will and Sarah say it best, “We are grateful to live in an area that is a top travel spot. But, more than that, we call Wilmington our home because there’s nowhere else we’d rather be. With our son Edward in tow, we can’t even imagine being anywhere else on earth!”
