Where Global Flavors Meet Southern Smoke

A BBQ Bond That Sparked a Business

What do you get when you mix a Fourth of July BBQ, a shared passion for smoked meats, and over 25 years of combined culinary expertise? You get Epic Catering & BBQ, one of Northwest Arkansas’s most exciting new BBQ catering businesses, co-founded by Patrick Snelson and Aaron Caldwell.

Aaron, a native Arkansan, brings to the table a globe-spanning palate honed by travel and curiosity, fusing international flavors with soulful technique. Patrick, originally from Texas, adds his perfected traditional BBQ style to the mix, built on a foundation of authenticity, patience, and pride. Together, they’ve created a concept that doesn’t just serve food, it creates community.

Elevating Expectations, One Plate at a Time

“We’re not just about BBQ,” Aaron shares. “We’re about elevating the culture of BBQ in Arkansas, introducing gourmet regional and international flavors that haven’t been seen or tasted in this area before.” Patrick adds, “We never take shortcuts. Every dish is carefully prepared, every detail matters, and it shows in the taste.”

Epic Catering & BBQ offers full-service catering for a wide variety of events - from corporate functions and weddings to graduation parties, tailgates, family reunions, and more - serving groups as large as 500. Whether it's a brisket steeped in Texas tradition or a globally inspired specialty with bold seasoning and technique, their menu reflects both their experience and their creativity.

Looking Ahead: A Flavor-Filled Future

As a brand-new business, one of their biggest challenges is simply being discovered. But one bite is all it takes. “Our goal is to become a mainstay in the community - someone you know and trust to make your event a success,” says Patrick.

Looking ahead, Aaron and Patrick envision a future that includes a food trailer, a brick-and-mortar restaurant, and regional expansion across state lines. They’re already making strides toward tailgating events at the University of Arkansas and have big plans to put Arkansas on the map as a serious BBQ destination.

Why I Personally Recommend Epic Catering & BBQ

As the publisher of Stroll Pinnacle, I take great pride in partnering with businesses I truly believe in, and Epic Catering & BBQ is one of them. Before signing them on as Stroll Pinnacle business partners, both Patrick and Aaron insisted on making dinner for my family and me so I could sample their food firsthand. As I’ve mentioned before, I personally interview all of our business partners to ensure we’re bringing you top-quality businesses, and this dinner was part of that process. So I gladly accepted their offer, and let me tell you, they were true to their word, it was absolutely delicious.

I like to consider myself a bit of a BBQ connoisseur, and I’ve tasted a lot of great barbecue in my time. But what Patrick and Aaron served up was next level. Their smoked brisket and pulled pork were tender and packed with flavor, and the cowboy beans and Hawaiian rice were just as memorable. In fact, I can honestly say they’re even better than Wright’s BBQ, which, until now, held my top spot. Wright’s is now a close second!

Their passion, attention to detail, and the unique fusion of international and traditional flavors truly set them apart. I’m thrilled to introduce Epic Catering & BBQ to the Pinnacle community—you’ll just have to taste it to believe it.
