Flying Into Fun
with Foiling Drew on Beaver Lake

There are some days that feel like magic—and one of ours happened on the crystal-clear waters of Beaver Lake, thanks to Foiling Drew of Ozark Foiling, formerly X-treme Sailing & Foiling. We had the joy of spending a day learning how to eFoil (that’s electric hydrofoiling—yes, flying above the water!) with Drew as our guide, and it was nothing short of unforgettable.
A Birthday to Remember
This wasn't just any outing. We wanted to celebrate a special occasion—my son Luke Crosser’s 23rd birthday. Many of you know Luke as the talented photographer behind so many of the beautiful features in Stroll Pinnacle, and this time, we put him in front of the camera… and on top of the water.
Drew didn’t just offer a lesson—he gave us an experience. From the very first moment, his knowledge, patience, and enthusiasm were obvious. Our group of “kids” (all in their early 20s) started out a little nervous, unsure if they could actually do this high-tech water sport. But Drew, a natural both on the board and as a teacher, walked them through it one step at a time. Within moments, their hesitations turned to laughter, excitement, and finally—flight.

Meet the Couple Behind Ozark Foiling
Drew and his wife Samantha are the heart behind Ozark Foiling, a company with roots deeply planted in Northwest Arkansas. They’ve lived on Beaver Lake since 2011, and their love for the water runs deep. Drew’s background includes a lifetime of sailing with his father, a shipbuilder and racer, and Samantha spent nearly every childhood summer on Beaver with her family. Together, they’ve created a business that’s more than just recreation—it’s a movement.
Foiling for Everyone
Ozark Foiling is making water access more inclusive. You don’t need a 26-foot wake boat or a boat dock to enjoy being out on the water anymore. EFoils—what they call “the world’s smallest motorized watercraft”—can be stored in the back of a van, tossed on a roof rack, or even fit in a sedan. At around $15K, a Lift (the Industry leader) eFoil offers an entirely different path to water adventure—no gas, no trailer, no noise, no winterization, and no waves to rock docks. They're fun, sleek, environmentally friendly, and incredibly accessible.
A Sport That’s Soaring
And the possibilities are endless. From surf foiling to wing foiling, pump foiling to river SUP foiling, this is a sport with progression for everyone—whether you’re 15 or 50. In fact, Drew says not a single person has ever tried it and said it was boring. Instead, every session ends with smiles and the words, “I can’t believe I just did that!”
Try It for Yourself
Drew and Samantha offer lessons and board sales, and everything is listed on their website at www.OzarkFoiling.com. Whether you're a curious beginner or a water-loving family looking for your next adventure, Foiling Drew will help you get there—with patience, passion, and an expert’s eye for making the experience fun and safe.
If you do reach out, be sure to let Drew know you heard about Ozark Foiling in Stroll Pinnacle. It’s a small thank-you for the incredible day he gave us—and a way to share in the energy of a growing sport that’s taking flight right here on Beaver Lake.
Luke’s birthday celebration was made even more special because of Drew’s generosity and heart. It wasn’t just about flying above the water—it was about connection, courage, and creating memories that we’ll all carry with us. And that’s the kind of local experience worth celebrating.
