Meet Lola. Lola is a fluffy Bluepoint Ragdoll cat who has the bluest eyes you have ever seen. Lola lives with Ted, Garby and Edward Ryan and will soon be celebrating her 3rd birthday. She came to the family when she was 3 months old from a breeder in Houston. As a kitten she was terrified of the stairs. Being that small it must be a daunting task. Now with a little help, she runs up and down the stairs making cute little human noises. One of Lola’s favorite things is simply being around her family. Wherever they go, she follows right behind them, just to simply lay down next to them and stare. Although, she has a special love for Edward. She sleeps beside him every night as if she is guarding him. The family says she acts like his protector.

 

Lola is very smart and has learned everybody's daily routines. On the weekends, she even starts meowing everyone awake if they start sleeping past their usual alarms. She has also figured out how to get treats and a quick brush from Ted almost everyday. With just a little bit of following, meowing and running through his legs, Lola has an 80% chance of achieving her goal. As mentioned, she loves her family time but specifically she loves movie night and cuddling. Sometimes she will sleep by their feet, and they can feel the vibrations of her purring through the mattress. She also notices when the suitcases come out for trips and becomes sad knowing they are leaving. Although she is very affectionate around family, she can get really shy around strangers and most of the time hides when she hears unfamiliar voices.

Lola has become such an important part of the Ryan family’s daily life. Whether she is sleeping from 9 to 5, chasing ice cubes along the floor, or waiting by the door when her family comes home, Lola always makes sure everyone feels loved.

Fun fact: Lola comes from a very impressive family line. Her dad, Zh’Elton John was actually a WCF World Champion Ragdoll cat. The World Cat Federation (WCF) is an international organization that hosts cat shows and competitions around the world, making Lola’s background even more special!
