Navigating Your Financial Future with Jessica Pena

1.  What first inspired you to pursue a career in financial services, and how has that shaped the way you work with families today?
Throughout my life, helping others has been an integral part of who I am. I chose a career in financial services to positively impact the lives of families in my community. Early on, I saw how trusted guidance can transform the way people approach retirement, wealth preservation, and legacy planning. That insight continues to shape the way I work today. I go beyond the numbers to truly understand each family’s vision, priorities, and values, so together we can customize a sophisticated, personalized strategy that aligns with both their goals and their lifestyle.

2.  Earning the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification is a big commitment. What motivated you to take that step, and what does it mean for your clients?
I became a CFP® professional because I believe my clients deserve the highest standard of financial guidance. The certification requires rigorous education, extensive experience, and a commitment to ongoing learning and the strongest ethical standards, all of which are essential to me. For my clients, it means they can trust that I provide objective, professional advice that puts their best interests first and helps them make confident decisions about their wealth, their future, and their legacy.

3.  When you’re helping people set long-term financial goals, what’s one common    challenge families face, and how do you guide them through it?
Many families want to ensure their wealth has meaning beyond just numbers on a balance sheet. The challenge is translating their family's vision into a clear, sustainable plan. I guide them by uncovering the values that matter most and building strategies that preserve and grow wealth while shaping the legacy they want to leave. In the process, I help my clients feel confident and empowered to make decisions that truly reflect their goals and priorities.

4.  Outside of work, what are some things you enjoy that help people get to know you better?
I’m passionate about spending time outdoors and enjoying the unique experiences our area offers. From attending local events and paddle boarding at our scenic beaches to savoring meals with family and friends, I value connection with our community. These moments outside of work keep me grounded and remind me why helping families here thrive is so important.

5.Looking ahead, what’s one piece of advice you’d share with neighbors who want to feel more confident about their financial future?
Confidence in your financial future begins with a well-designed plan, one that reflects your goals, values, and vision for the long term. Even small steps matter when they are intentional and guided by strategy. Partnering with a trusted financial advisor helps to ensure your wealth is preserved, your opportunities are optimized, and your family’s legacy is thoughtfully protected. I enjoy helping neighbors in our community feel confident about their financial future and am always happy to sit down to discuss what a plan could look like for you.
