Longtime resident Alexandria “Alex” Watson, 44, initially planned a temporary stop in Mount Pleasant but found a permanent home in the Old Village on London Bridge Drive in 2013. She lives there with her partner Zac Smith, 39, and her two sons, Griffin and Maxwell. The family thrives on community, activity, and local entrepreneurship. Alex is the successful owner of Salon Alexandria, a beloved local staple for nearly 19 years, with a second location now open in Moultrie Plaza. Zac is a litigation attorney who enjoys backcountry hunting and baking his signature sea salt pecan cookies. The family appreciates the neighborhood's laid-back charm and the opportunity to host friends for backyard gatherings. Despite being the smallest adult dog in the neighborhood, Kitty the tiny chihuahua rules her world with a feisty charm. Her love for humans is instant and unconditional. She is happy being passed around and making new human friends.
