Cranberries

The secret ingredient to a Merry Christmas Spirit

Like no other fruit, cranberries embody the spirit of Christmas. They bring a burst of creativity to our cooking and baking, filling the holiday season with a mindful, tangy delight.

Creating sugared cranberries in December is like turning natures jewels into edibles holiday gems.

I am completely smitten with sugared cranberries. They are beyond beautiful. I know this is basically a recipe that is super simple but Iv’e discovered how to take the sparkly-ness up a notch.
Plus, involving your kids in making these sparkling cranberries can turn the process into a fun family activity, creating cherished holiday memories.

Sugared Cranberries & Rosemary
All you need is a bag of cranberries  some rosemary and plain white sugar or coarse sugar for extra texture and sparkle

  1. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a sauce pan heat up  on medium - low 1/2 cup water  and 1/2 cup sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved then remove from heat.
  3. Add Cranberries & Rosemary then using a slotted spoon remove from syrup. Place on rack with parchment paper and let dry for 1 hour.
  4. Line a second baking sheet with parchment paper and add remaining sugar to the bowl. Work in batches. Place each cranberry & rosemary in sugar and roll around  until each is coated.
  5. Set on tray let dry for an hour .

Tip: You can store them in an air tight container (usually last 3-5 days). These beauties are so perfect for drink toppers, decorations, charcuterie boards, pies, or desserts.

Wishing you a Merry & Bright Holiday Season,
Rebecca
