Where did you grow up? How long have you lived in the area? Tell us about your family.
I was born and raised in Charleston. After college and my husband completing graduate school, we returned to the area in 2007 to raise our family. I have been married to my husband, Walt Fletcher for 25 years. We have 3 children. Ellie is 22 years old and recently graduated from Wofford College. She is hoping to attend PA school in the fall and currently working at Southeastern Spine. I also have twin boys, Daniel and Hampton who are seniors at Lucy Beckham High School. We also have 2 furry children, a golden retriever, Ollie, and a yellow lab, Suga.
Tell us about the events that led up to where you are now.
I graduated in 1996 from Emory University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. I worked in my early career as a registered nurse in Labor and Delivery and the NICU. I also worked in home health care for a period of time. This is when I realized how much I enjoyed treating the whole person, educating patients, and forming long-term relationships with my patients. I decided to go back to graduate school at MUSC where I received my Doctorate of Nurse Practice degree in Family Medicine in 2014. After obtaining my graduate degree, I worked for many wonderful years in primary care on Daniel Island with Palmetto Primary Care. Always having a passion for learning, I became interested in aesthetic medicine as I was looking for ways to address my own skincare concernsas I was approaching my mid-forties. I started attending conferences and training on weekends with my good friend, Dr. Leigh Spicer, and my career in aesthetics advanced from there. I worked for a local aestheticsoffice for several years where I continued to learn and improve my skills.
What is your business and how/why did you start your business?
I started Fletcher Aesthetics in June 2022 and have never looked back. I wanted to shake things up in the industry where sometimes you can feel like a number and appointments can feel rushed. If a patient is coming to me for Botox, for example, I also want to know about their daily skincareroutine, lifestyle, and any pertinent health history so that I can give my clients the best results possible.
What sets your business apart from the rest?
Personalized Consultations: I really take the time to understand each client’s unique needs and goals. I conduct thorough consultations to tailor treatment plans specific to individual skin types, age, concerns, and desired outcomes.
Medical Expertise: As a nurse practitioner, I am committed to ensuring that clients receive safe and effective treatments. My medical background along with advanced trainings allow me to make informed decisions about skincare and aesthetic procedures, always prioritizing safety and proven results.
Cutting Edge Techniques: My practice stays up to date with the latestadvancements in aesthetics and skincare to provide safe, effective, results-driven outcomes for my clients with as little downtime as possible.
Client-Centered Natural Looking Results: I place great importance on building strong relationships with my clients. I want to see you for many years to come! I prioritize comfort and collaboration throughout the treatment process to ensure a positive and rewarding experience. My goal is always to enhance my client’s natural beauty resulting in subtle, graceful enhancements and facial balancing rather than overly dramatic changes.
What kinds of services/products do you provide, and what can a customer expect from hiring you?
Neurotoxins such as Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, several medical grade skin care lines including: Revisions, ISDIN, Neocutis, Obagi, and Alumier. I also have a C02 laser with the latest technology that allows for very little downtime (24-48 hours) called a Cool Peel laser. Micro needling and a Hydrofacial are also great treatment options that I offer.
Given your business expertise and the nature of what you do, what advice (whether general or specific) can you offer to the residents?
We are so blessed to live in the Lowcountry. I can’t imagine living anywhere else. My happy place during warmer months is on the boat or beach with family and friends. However, I believe it is so important to wear sunscreen 30 SPF or higher every day of the year, particularly on your face, and a wide-brimmed hat and sun protective clothing when appropriate. UV rays are one of the top causes of premature skin aging. Also, with the latest advancements in laser technology, lasers are a great way to resurface the skin, correct sun damage, and stimulate collagen with little downtime compared to older lasers.
What else should we know about you, your family, or your business?
Being born and raised in Charleston, I am committed to giving back to my hometown. I contribute to various organizations such as the Lowcountry Foodbank, the Lowcountry Pregnancy Center, Share Our Suzy, and the Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center. I am active in the local chapter of a prison ministry, Kairos Outside.

Customer Reviews
“Martha is amazing. I trust her so much due to her time in primary care as well. She is friendly, spends as much time as you need, and talks you through the whole process. She is conservative which I prefer and would always prefer to add more later. She leaves me looking very natural and well-rested rather than overdone! She is great and you will be very happy with your results!”
“This was my first foray into cosmetic treatments, and it could not have gone better. Martha was great at asking me about my goals, and what I hope to achieve to guide what treatments and products would work best for me. She then walked me through each step of the process to help me prepare. Her overall demeanor just put me at ease and I trusted her recommendations given her extensive medical background. I also love her conservative approach of “less is more”. 100% recommend! 10/10”
“Martha is amazing. Wouldn’t trust anyone else- she is great at treating individual issues and has so much knowledge, not to mention the best bedside manner!”
