The Ericson Family: From Texas Tech to Trinity Church

In the vibrant community of Oakmont resides the Ericson family—Jarred, Tori, and their three children, Kennedi, Brock, and Zack. Alongside their furry companions, Hank, Dax, and Lucy, this family brings energy and warmth to every corner of their home.

Jarred and Tori met at Texas Tech University, where their love story began. From their shared university experiences, they forged a bond that led them to build a life together, rooted in love and commitment.

Originally hailing from Brownfield and Whiteface, the Ericsons brought with them cherished family traditions, including their beloved summer retreats to Florida. These annual trips have become a cornerstone of their family identity, providing cherished memories and bonding experiences.
After their time at Texas Tech, the Ericsons made a transition to Lubbock Christian University (LCU), further deepening their connection to the community. However, it was their move to Oakmont a year ago that truly marked a new chapter in their lives.

Settling into Oakmont, the Ericsons found a place that perfectly complemented their active lifestyle. The community's amenities, such as the pickleball court at the Cove and the accessibility to south Lubbock's offerings, quickly became favorites among the family.

Their involvement in Trinity Church further solidified their sense of belonging within the Oakmont community. Through their church community, they've found fellowship, support, and opportunities to give back.

Sports play a significant role in the Ericson household, with each family member having their favorite activities. While Kennedi excels in volleyball year-round, Brock and Zack showcase their skills in baseball, football, and basketball. The family's passion for sports extends beyond the field, with favorite movies like "Sandlot," "Field of Dreams," and "The Greatest Showman" often serving as sources of inspiration and entertainment.

The Ericson family also farms for a living, mainly in Brownfield, and have other farms in surrounding communities throughout west Texas. The farm is from Tori's family. Her dad passed away 3 years ago, so Jarred has taken over and continues to build the legacy. Grape vineyards, peanuts and cotton is what they grow. When they are not doing sports, they are usually at the farm!

Accompanied by their adorable goldendoodles, Hank and Dax, along with Lucy the mini bernedoodle, the Ericsons embrace each day with enthusiasm and joy. Their journey from Texas Tech to Trinity Church reflects not only their personal growth but also their commitment to building a vibrant and connected community in Oakmont.

As they reflect on their experiences and look forward to the future, the Ericson family stands as a testament to the power of love, community, and shared values. In Oakmont, they have found not just a place to live, but a place to thrive as a family.
