Sweet Tooth, Sweet Moments
Oak Creek neighbors came together to share smiles, stories, and sweet treats at Tyler’s most creative dessert lounge.

Oak Creek residents gathered for a tasty restaurant review at Sweet Tooth Ice Cream & Dessert Lounge. Owned by Paulina Carrasco, Sweet Tooth Ice Cream & Dessert Lounge doesn’t just serve traditional ice cream flavors—they love introducing flavors that people may have never tried before.
Residents got to explore original and unique flavors like Ube, which has been a recent best-seller driven by customer curiosity. Sort of like a purple yam, Ube is similar to a sweet potato; the Ube ice cream flavor is just one example of the rotating exploration of flavors and palettes, international or otherwise.
Sweet Tooth also offers a multitude of hand-crafted desserts, including milkshakes, banana splits, flights, warm cookie bowls, brownie trays, and seasonal desserts which rotate through the year. Whatever the treat, Sweet Tooth Ice Cream & Dessert Lounge is making them in-house, ensuring the freshness in every taste. There are always new flavors rotating in and out, and it’s an adventure for customers to check Sweet Tooth’s social media stories (@sweettoothicecream.etx on Instagram) to see the new menus.
Owner Paulina Carrasco says every career path she took led her to this moment. “I went from customer service to now owning my own ice cream shop,” Paulina shares. “I did a little bit of everything and that honestly prepared me for this.” She was inspired to bring something different and exciting to Tyler. She says this city deserves a great ice cream shop, and wanted to create a space where people could enjoy uniquely-made ice cream and desserts without having to go too far.
Paulina shares that one of the rewarding aspects of this business is the inclusivity they have been able to provide. “We offer peanut-free, sugar-free, dairy-free and dye free and more options, which means families with different allergies & dietary needs can enjoy a treat together without anyone feeling left out,” she says. “I love watching families and friends gather, laugh, and bond over their desserts. When I get a moment to step out of the kitchen and see that, it reminds me why I started this business in the first place.”
As Oak Creek residents gathered for delectable desserts, there was a sense of gratitude in the air; not only were the customers thankful to receive such tasty treats, but Paulina also feels gracious for the love and support the city of Tyler has shown her sweet store.
