From Foundation to Forever: The Bodles’ Story
Hammers, Hikes & Happily Ever After

Meet Bradley and Jessica Bodle, the newly-weds of Oak Creek. Bradley and Jessica met just over seven years ago when Bradley built Jessica’s first house back in the north Houston area. Jessica and Bradley were married on March 1st of this year. Along with their two dogs, Hank the miniature schnauzer and Cabella the black lab, Jessica and Bradley are happy to call Oak Creek home.
Bradley is originally from White Oak, Texas, just outside of Longview, and Jessica is from Tomball, Texas, a town northwest of Houston. They have lived in Oak Creek for five years. “We chose Oak Creek for multiple reasons,” the Bodles share. “The bigger lot with trees, close access to the Athletic Club, close access to the walking trails, and just feeling like this neighborhood is safe and friendly!” An active couple themselves, they also feel that the whole neighborhood being active fits their own style. Those energetic Oak Creek neighbors walking or jogging past the Bodles’ home might recognize it from the “crazy deer in [their] front window.”
Neighbors may also know Bradley as the VP of Construction from Hunt Custom Homes. He runs the day-to-day of the Hunt Custom Homes construction division. Jessica is a nutrition consultant for horses and other livestock animals. She spends her days visiting farms, training and boarding facilities, and agricultural stores. Construction started their relationship, and it continues to play a part in their life; together, they also build homes with their own business, Rosehill Homes, where “Bradley builds the houses and [Jessica] handles the design and selections.”
As a couple, Jessica and Bradley are the “outdoors-y” type. “You will find us in our backyard or walking the dogs around the neighborhood and Tyler trails,” Jessica shares. “We have a wake boat and kayaks, so if the weather is decent, you’ll usually find us on the water!” They like to spend the summers surfing and floating with their boat. During the colder months, you will find them in the woods, ready for all kinds of different hunts. They rely all year on the meat they hunt, making sure they keep their freezer stocked. When they’re not in the blind or on the water, Jessica and Bradley love to see new places, traveling as much as possible.
Around town, they enjoy using the Legacy Trails for biking, coffee walks, and walking the dogs. They are fond of Lake Tyler and hanging out at The Marina and The Boulders. “We also love to go downtown for date nights,” Jessica shares. “The Plaid Rabbit and The Thomas Hotel are our favorite drink spots.” Their top local dives include, but are not limited to, Javis, 1836, Culture ETX/The Plaid Rabbit, Twelve, and Don Juan’s. Whether they are exploring Tyler’s best food and drink offerings, exploring east Texas’s waters and woods, or building homes as a team, Bradley and Jessica Bodle like to do it together.
