Beautiful Spaces to Ranch Places: The Munn Family’s Art of Living Well

Whether managing pastures or designing interiors, Jeff and Heather Munn share a drive to create, connect, and make every space their own.

It’s our pleasure to introduce you to this month’s Meet Your Neighbor featured family: the Munns. Jeff and Heather Munn, and their two children, Faith and Foster, have spent the last five years building a life in Oak Creek.

Originally from East Texas, Jeff and Heather Munn chose to make Oak Creek their home with Faith, Foster, and their miniature schnauzer, Hazel. In their professional lives, Jeff and Heather operate in totally different fields. Jeff works in oil and gas and owns Cut Beef, a ranch and local business that sells pasture-raised, natural beef and other meats directly to consumers. Heather, on the other hand, owns and operates Heather J Interiors, an interior design firm about which Heather is deeply passionate.

For Heather, interior design is way more than a job. Since childhood, she’s felt called to her field. “I think that a well-designed space can improve how people feel, create comfort and joy, and help people thrive in their everyday lives,” Heather says. “I love every second of my work life. My favorite moment is watching clients’ faces light up when they realize their home reflects who they are in a way they never imagined possible."

As it turns out, the entrepreneurial spirit that drives both Jeff and Heather is hereditary; their daughter Faith, only twenty-five, is already running her own social media marketing company, Social Seven. “We all have a passion for creativity,” Heather says. Though he’s not started his own business (yet), fifteen-year-old Foster is equally driven, right now focusing his time on athletics, especially football and track and field, where he excels in discus. Foster also pursues gaming and hunting in his free time.

Though the whole Munn family is busy with their respective careers and activities, they prioritize time together and all share a love for travel. Their favorite destinations are Italy and New York. The Munns also call themselves “complete foodies,” and favor local spots like Nourish, Bernard’s, and The Rusty Pelican. The Munns maintain holiday traditions, and love cracking out the boards and cards for family game nights.

The Munns are a busy crew, but their love for each other keeps them bonded. Grateful for “Jesus” and “family,” they always make sure to make time for each other, whether it’s finding a great new local dive or a little friendly competition. Tying it all together is their entrepreneurial spirit, which motivates the whole family and drives them toward success.
