Restorative Pain Institute

Much More Than Pain Relief

“Regain function and rejoin life.” That’s the mission behind Restorative Pain Institute — and if you ask founder Dr. Timothy J. Beacham, it’s more than his tagline, it’s a way of life.

“The inspiration to start RPI stemmed from the desire to provide my clients with a customized treatment plan while delivering care with compassion and empathy without sacrificing state-of-the-art options,” he explains.

And that’s exactly what patients receive when they walk through the doors of his Springhurst Boulevard clinic.

A Tailored Approach to Care
Dr. Beacham is double board-certified in Interventional Pain Management and Anesthesiology. He’s been an Assistant Professor of Pain Medicine, served on more medical boards than space allows for, and recently earned the title of Louisville Business First Health Care Hero for 2024.

But what makes RPI truly different isn’t just Dr. Beacham’s impressive credentials — it’s the culture. Whether you’re navigating chronic pain, looking for a fresh approach to wellness, or simply want a provider who listens, RPI is ready to listen and innovate.

“We strive to give our clients a professional yet compassionate experience that is tailored to their situation,” Dr. Beacham notes. “Every client is unique and requires a unique approach to treat their circumstance.”

RPI offers a full spectrum of services, including interventional injection therapy, regenerative medicine, neuromodulation, and medication management. But the list doesn’t stop there. They also support patients through weight loss, hormone therapy, and functional medicine — bridging traditional treatment with full-body wellness.

Service at the Core
Ever since the doors opened, the RPI team has gone all-in on becoming part of the local fabric through the services of its people.

“Since moving to Louisville, my family has truly fallen in love with this vibrant and welcoming community,” Dr. Beacham shares. But he’s also quick to credit other team members for their boots-on-the-ground presence.

Their community liaison serves on the boards of The Cabbage Patch Settlement House and the Louisville Chapter of The Links, Inc., and recently completed the Class of 2025 with Leadership Louisville — “their best class,” as Dr. Beacham notes with pride. Meanwhile, RPI’s CEO is a Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., further underscoring the organization’s dedication to service and leadership.

RPI also supports local cultural and wellness organizations, including the Louisville Orchestra, Louisville Youth Orchestra, the YMCA (including the Norton Commons YMCA Annual Campaign), the Frazier History Museum, and KET. The practice donates to school supply drives as well as local educational nonprofits, and regularly gives to the Kentucky Blood Center.

Like any business, though, RPI hasn’t been without obstacles to tackle.

“One of our biggest challenges has been adding team members that embody the core beliefs of our establishment,” Dr. Beacham admits. “It requires a significant amount of turnover until the right team is assembled.”

The effort of vetting has certainly paid off; he now credits his “amazing” staff as a core part of the practice’s success.

Doctor’s Orders
When asked to dispense some sound medical advice for NoCo residents, Dr. Beacham doesn’t hesitate.

“I share with all of my clients that it is never too late to develop better lifestyle choices, including nutrition, exercise, and mental health care,” he concludes. “We should be equally as focused on taking care of our bodies despite them failing us occasionally.”
